At first, everything was pretty dark. I remember a small, narrow room. The walls were of hewn rock, and the place was sparsely furnished. A small bedside cabinet with a potted plant on, my bed, and the various wires projecting from the wall that were connected to me was all that made the room.
I tried to move my arms, and then my legs, eventually pulling myself up into a sitting position. All of my limbs felt stiff and heavy, and my entire body had this strange, tingling sensation running through it. The small, rather ornate wooden door at the end of the room opened with the hiss of an air mechanism. A short, rather grim faced looking doctor
